AboutBFS.com is a site dedicated to helping those who are looking for information about Benign Fasciculation Syndrome (BFS).
It is provided as a public service by the webmaster (John Voorhis) and is in no way affiliated with any corporations, hospitals, universities, etc.
Our goal here is just to provide a centralized place to find publicly available information about BFS. In no way can we replace the expertise of a qualified Neurologist. If you are having problems or symptoms, see your doctor immediately.
This information contained in this site has been compiled from a number of sources including, but not limited to, the BrainTalk Forums the TeleEMG.com web site, and other web sites.
About John Voorhis:
I was diagnosed with BFS in early 2000 after suffering with it for about a year. I am not employed or affiliated with the healthcare industry, I just run this site because I saw a need for it. I maintain this site in my spare time.
I work as Director of Technical Services for the Philadelphia office of a large (top 5) international accounting and consulting company. In my spare time, I enjoy volleyball, model airplanes, and I am Co-Chair of my Church's IT committee: Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, PA, where I also serve as a Deacon (I am currently Vice-Chair). I am also active in several other ministries at Tenth and elsewhere, including designing and maintaining the website for the Metro Camden, NJ Habitat for Humanity Affiliate.
